NEW HMC EVENT FOR 2026 – Scutchditch Wood Sporting Trial
We are delighted to announce that the Club are organising a Sporting Trial which will be a round of the 2026 BTRDA Sporting Trials Championship.
If you’ve never been to one of these events, it’ll be an interesting experience. No huge speed but plenty of skill required, sometimes trickling quietly, sometimes high revs and loads of wheel spins ‘n’ mud, all just to see how far these specialist cars can climb a prescribed route up a steep hillside ….sounds easy …definitely not though!
This has been instigated by Darren & Sue Underwood who now compete in these events following their rallying days.
DATE: SUNDAY 19TH APRIL
VENUE: private woodland Nr TITLEY, KINGTON – (exact access location will be advised)
Marshals required to cover the 8 sections – ideally 2 per hill – and on-the-day training will be given. Arrive by 9.30am to sign-on, attend a briefing, reach your designated section and be ready for the competitors to start at 10.30am.
As the sections will be on steep hills, please wear sturdy footwear, bring waterproofs, warm clothing and sun cream …who knows what the weather will bring?! Not sure if caterers will be present just yet but there will be toilet facilities.
It is fantastic that for the first year of running, we are straight into the national BTRDA Championship, so let’s prove it worthy of this status and show the Club your support.
