HMC was founded so competitors can enjoy driving cars to their limit on organised events

Herefordshire Motor Club was founded in May 1950 by a group of keen motorsport enthusiasts to organise and compete in motorsport events. The club has grown to well over 100 members and currently runs 2 very popular stage rallies – Welsh Marches Mini Epynt & Builth Showground Stages. Alongside the 2 rallies HMC runs the Foxley Autotest, a round of the MSA & BTRDA autotest championioship as well as many club events including grass autotests, autosolos and navigational scatters. HMC has a long history of successful competitors, Innes Ireland a grand prix winner in 1961 is a former chairman of HMC. Long time HMC member Barrie Williams won the 1964 Welsh Rally and in more recent times HMC member Andy Burton competed his famous Peugoet 306 to national success! HMC meets on the first Tuesday of the month, normally at the City Sports Club on Grandstand Rd, Hereford from 8pm. New members are always welcome.
